Case dismissed against Alameda man accused of robbing $600 from woman’s bra

OAKLAND Prosecutors threw out robbery and pimping charges against an Alameda man after the alleged victim failed to show up in court records show Alexander Norris had been charged with taking from an alleged sex worker s bra during a dispute about how much money she was making for him Norris was out of custody and scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in June but instead the Alameda County District Attorney s office dismissed the affair for lack of complaining witness according to a minute order Norris was charged in early April but the alleged robbery happened on March Police disclosed they unveiled text messages that indicated Norris was pimping the woman and expecting her to reach a nightly quota The alleged robbery happened near th Avenue and International Boulevard and the woman communicated it to area patrol officers according to court records Norris was arrested the same night as the robbery but posted for his release from jail on April records show He pleaded not guilty and was still out of custody when the occurrence was dismissed
